Types of Information We Collect and How It Is Used
Lightower only gathers personal information, such as, first and last names, addresses and email addresses, when voluntarily submitted by you. While providing services to you, we also collect certain types of customer information, known as customer proprietary network information (“CPNI”) that is not publically available and includes information such as the types and quantity of telecommunications services you have purchased from Lightower, as well as usage and related billing information for those services. CPNI also includes information that we receive from other telecommunications carriers for the purpose of providing services to you.
How The Information Is Used
Lightower uses CPNI to understand your preferences and history. With this information we can tailor our services to best meet your meets. Lightower also shares CPNI within our family of companies and with our agents in order to offer you the latest information about our services and to offer you our latest promotions. Also, we may use your CPNI to design and offer new services in which you may be interested.
Lightower customers will receive an Opt-Out CPNI notice when they first contract for services and at least every two (2) years thereafter. You may even receive an Opt-In CPNI notice from time to time. In any event, you may choose to decline or withdraw your approval of our sharing of your CPNI within Lightower and its agents at any time.
Lightower also provides information about you to a variety of vendors and partners that we use to help us offer, provide and bill for services that we provide to you. For example, we provide information about your account to our payment processing company when it is necessary for them to perform work on our behalf.
